My Oregon Scientific WMR968 anemometer/rain guage are located on the North side of my roof. It sits atop a 5ft mast mounted w/in an old directv dish bracket, which sits about 2 feet off the roof's incline. A home made rain tray is mounted just under the anemometor for the rain gauge. The anemometer and rain guage sit just above the roof's peak. The temperature/humidity sensor is on the southwest wall enclosed in a homemade solar fan aspirated radiation shield.
